Ouch, and no backup :( I learned the importance of backups through a
painful experience much like yours.

I really don't trust the Salvation series, until Vitesse decides to come
out with an upgrade/update. For all my HD utility needs, I use
ProSEL 16. I haven't had ANY problems with it, and the latest version
I got from Glen Bredon seems to be System 6 compatible as well.
