I can't believe titles from SSI were written in Basic.
That was a suprise for me.
The Atari version of Rails West is written completely in
BASIC (not even compiled - dog slow). Others too - but I
have a hard time remembering them.
Actually this isn't too unusual for strategic or economic
simulations of that time - Avalon Hill titles were often
written in BASIC, for example.
I tried to break the .NIB-image I have and got to different
line numbers but couldn't issue simple commands like LIST
or disk commands (the game probably employs SSI's own DOS).
Actually I tried a few images from different sources. I always
seem to get an error when selecting E for (E)xecute after typing
in a move command for the (C)onvoy. I get a break in line 4400.
Which scenario did you choose and which commands did you issue?
I try to retrace the steps then (I have no time reading the
manual - which seems to be required with this kind of control
scheme).
