Yes, but the Apple uses always 192 lines per field, so 384 per frame.
384 lines out of 486 (NTSC) are higher than 384 lines out of 576 (PAL),
since the lines are closer together in PAL. The width of the 280/560
pixels is almost equal on monitors of the two types, so the PIXEL aspect
ratio is different even though the WHOLE PICTURE aspect ratio is the same.

Correct if you have a monitor with enough head-room on that setting. If
you use a TV set it often means diving into some hidden undocumented
"Service Mode" to change this setting.
