As we all know societies have recently become very concerned about
energy, warming, carbon, etc.
Wouldn't an Apple 2e with a 14" monochrome monitor consume far less
power than a typical desktop PC with 19" CRT, or even PC + LCD? (maybe
even a laptop - don't know)
If so, then that is another reason for going 8 bit.
