OK, I have done some more testing and the results are as follows:
1) ADT_2006 works - I am able to send disk images from the IIgs to
WinXP with no problems
2) I hooked my ROM01 IIgs up and it functioned exactly the same as my
ROM03 (ie. ADTPro would not transfer images IIgs-->WinXP)
Why would ADT_2006 work OK, but not ADTPro? Does ADT_2006 use hardware
handshaking? If it does, then I would presume that my wiring is
correct. This would then point to some configuration problem on WinXP.
If ADT_2006 does not use hardware handshaking, then maybe I do have an
issue with my cable.
This is the table I used to construct/test my dedicated IIgs cable
(taken from http://home.swbell.net/rubywand/Csa2T1TCOM.html#006):
IIgs
Mini-Din 8 Dsub-9F Signal
3 2 RXD
5 3 TXD
4,8 5 GND
2 7 RTS
1 1,6,8 CTS, DSR, DCD
7 4 DTR
So David, do you have any ideas that I can test further?
thanks,
