I've been playing around with the clone for a bit and have come to some
conclusions.
* A decent proportion of the RAM chips are knackered.
I came to this conclusion after only leaving the first row and substituting
chips. Each time I got different results on the screen. Sometimes it can
get as far as text mode. Once I got most of the chips right, substituted
the wrong one and haven't found a good set since.
* The 6502 seems to be okay.
When I had what seemed to be a good combination of RAM in, and none of the
ROMs in, I was getting a consistent tick from the speaker at roughly 4Hz.
* The clone has lowercase in ROM.
Doesn't mean much. Just surprised me.
I think the next question is how do I check which RAM chips are good?
Tristan.
