There is active development of the AppleWin emulator being discussed over on
comp.emulators.apple2, including fundamental rework of display routines.
You might pop over there and make a feature request. For example, you could
ask for a "Print to IAccessible" routine that would traverse the memory of
the screen and make it accessible via the COM IAccessible interface so
screen readers could pick it up, or hooks into the Applesoft printing
routines.
