Way to jump to conclusions Mike! You could have learned about the
event just by going to the site the first time.

hmmm, nice demeanor, now lets look at your original post to set things
straight:
>I have wrestled with SHK files and SDK files since I started using Apple 2

Sounds to me that you've only tried to use Shrinkit on an emulator.
Maybe your mind has been selective about what you want to talk about.
I only mentioned getting stuff going on a real Apple II as a secondary
example,.
Besides, if you do want to talk about what it takes to get SHK's ONTO
an Apple II, it really isn't that hard if you TRY Mike. You only need
to go through the setup ONCE, whether its getting shell account (super
easy), via Apple Talk / Mac slave(still not so bad), LanceGS card(some
indepth setup required, but direct ftp) or sneaker net (pretty easy
too). Sure you need to have the right hardware, but there are many
options. Fact is, on an emulator dealing with ShrinkIt files is
trivial, on a real Apple II its easy as well, so please quit your
whining.
> I still don't know of any Apple ][/][+/][e/][c computers that can be used to surf the net or
download the SHKs directly.
hmmm, its the going beyond one step part that has you confused again,
huh?
I've been downloading files to my //e for years via a shell account.
or
Use a mac and drop the files into your appleshare folder for your IIe
with a workstation card. This isn't directly, so I'm sure that you'll
start an argument here.
>you refuse to see what's right or obvious - even when it is starring you in the face.
Who's arrogant? In the history of Usenet and CSA2, I believe that you
are the first person I've seen that has issues using ShrinkIt.
