Most SCSI drives I have used take more than 1/2 a second to complete their
power on self test...
The fastest way to boot ProDOS 8 is from a ROM drive. My IIe clone with
homemade ROMdisk card would boot to the ProSel 8 selector menu before the
amber screen monitor had even warmed up.
