A fairly good approach for ProDOS is to copy some regular bootable
ProDOS disk which includes BASIC.SYSTEM to a diskette or disk image using
DiskMuncher or some other whole-disk copier.

DiskMuncher is on the TnilUtil disk on Ground at
ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/useful.stuff/Disks/TnilUtil.dsk .

For instance, you could copy the PDUtil disk available from Ground. URL
is ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/useful.stuff/Disks/PDUtil.dsk .

Then, use Copy II Plus (like v7.2 or some other ProDOS version) to
delete everything except PRODOS and BASIC.SYSTEM. That diskette will boot
ProDOS v1.9, which works fine for diskettes on 64k or larger Apple II models
and on the IIgs.

The HELLO program for ProDOS is usually some BASIC program named
"Startup".
