All you need is the utility that comes with the dirve. Boot GS/OS (I use the system disk.) Pop the utility disk in and run the formatting utility. Partition the drive in the way that suites you. Place the boot disk back in and exit the program, saving the partitions.

When GS/OS comes back up, format the drives as ProDOS (or HFS).

To boot ProDOS, drop a copy of ProDOS on the first partition. (The file is called P8 on the GS/OS disk and will need to be renamed ProDOS in order to boot the hard drive under ProDOS.)

To make it boot GS/OS, boot on the GS/OS install disk and install it on the first partition.
