Re: The Internet-enabled Contiki Desktop OS

Isn't this more than bit off topic for comp.sys.apple2??

Don't waste your time with wildstar, he's just a troll from c.s.c who
can't code. Besides, there isn't an ANSI C compiler for the TI is
there? If there is it's as simple as just compiling the source and
adding a small RS-232 driver.

Hehehe, like we can't code a simple 6502 assembly. First off, when I came
here - it has been a couple of years since I dealt with assembly. Now, I
suppose to think you are some super holier than thou. FLI is great when you
are trying to push a 4 bit chip to display color at a level of a 7/8 bit
chip. Now, why worry about fairly CPU intense processes like that. If you
can place a whole 16 bit color in a 1 x 1 tile aka Pixel then all you have
to do is LDX the low byte value, STX it at a location and LDX the high byte
a value and STX is at location + 1. Kind of like color RAM. If you plug a
value in color RAM it will make the text the corresponding color. (If you
are in text mode)

Now - there is a difference in demo coding where you are playing with
"algorithms" a series of equations. Setting register values. I just don't
like f***ing around with Vector rotation algorithms that includes
polymorphic effects, shadow projection, ect.,ect. all at once. You don't
need to do all that to make a f***ing kernel. What you need to do is make a
multi-task manager that handles the manages the tasks and switch them at the
proper times without crashing. This isn't exactly a simple task but a
different kind of task to work with. Don't compare apples and oranges. They
both maybe fruits but they grow on different trees.

I haven't coded all that much with a TI is years but if there was a C
compiler - I don't give a f*** if its ANSI C or another kind of C. Now,
don't over guess - there might be a C compiler and possibly an ANSI C
compiler for it. People do support them too. Just like the speccys, apples,
ataris, ect,ect.

It is just a little hard to find. The assembly code has been released.
