Re: How (not) to make a PC serial (DB9) to //c+ (mini-din8) cable
arent there 2 serial ports on thr //c+? the printer & modem port? I
used a serial printer cable on my //c's modem port (mapped to slot 2)
and it works like a charm. Try to search the net for mac-pc null
modem cable pinouts as the //c+'s mini din jacks are identical to
macs' serial ports. I do wonder if the serial chip used in the //c+
is like the //c's and //e's SSC compatible chip. The //c+ was
originally supposed to be made a portable IIGS if I remember right and
they might have used instead an SCC like the ones on IIGS's and macs.
Incidentally there is a version of ADT for SCC based ports, and I have
been unable to get it to work beyond 9600 on my IIGS.
