Re: Is this true?

Prove me wrong. Here is a task for you, and I want to see screen shots or
movie files of your evidence that you completed the task.

With your new G4, I want you to install system 7.1.x, system 7.5.x, system
8.1.x, system 9.x and system OSX all on one Macintosh and I want you to be able
to boot to each of these OSes with ease.

As I recall Apple has made it so its impossible (without tweaking with 3rd
party garbage or with resedit to boot old Oses on a newer Mac).

You say "Whats the point of running an old OS, their useless anyways."

I have some software that will not run PROPERLY on a non OS 7.x OS, and I even
have a few programs (one that I wrote) that will not work PROPERLY (that is the
keyword here) on any PPC mac. If I ever wish to play my game with ease in the
future, I will need a real 68K Mac with OS 7.x installed.

Send me the screen shots or the movie clippings. Use Snapz Pro if you want to
record videos.

* I never mentioned anything about Liniux or any non Mac OS.

<< Actually, your statement is simply not true. It is easy to install
several versions of the Macintosh operating system on one partition or
on several partitions. Tools like the extension manager make it
possible to install the same version of the same operating system with
quite different configurations. It is also quite easy to install
different operating systems of different partitions (like Linux or
NetBSD).
