Like Appleshare 2.0 (6.n as server) or 3.0 or later running on a System 7.n or
later?

As the SERVER? or as another client on the net with an intermediate server?

Ok, its given: I don't have a "seed router" in that I see only one (*) zone
and I do not have a Gatorbox, Fastpath, or a PC running
NT 3.n-4.0/2k server (pricey software that!). Is that my problem?

With a GS on a localtalk link (Marsha's CDEV - which btw I am noticing what
look like memory leaks from; folders on desktop with lines through them, icons
scratched out etc) to a Mac running LTBridge and at least Appleshare 58
is there any way to get to OS X WITHOUT the extra hardware?
