Yes; you did say _this_ year. Sorry about the mistake.
Still, here we are a week after KF99 and no announcement (that I've seen posted
to Csa2) of any KF report from the KF organizers or participants. Dr. Tom got us the
news while it was hot.

Possibly because reading messages there is something of a hassle. You have a
pile of stuff arranged in time sequence and no easy way for following a
conversational thread.
Besides, just reading the messages is pretty boring. Dr. Tom did the work of
sorting out the threads and made the reading fun with his commentaries.
Then, too, the net result of Dr. Tom's work has been to promote interest in
KFest. Why should anyone who wants to see a bigger better KFest complain?

If you say something in public, then, do not be too shocked if someone says
that you said it.
Obviously, the persons quoted by Dr. Tom did not intend for their comments to
be private. If you want privacy, you can use email.
