Re: How do I identify my Apple IIc?

As I suspected, I bought a 255 Apple IIc. Only paid $5, but still...

What can I do and/or NOT do with this particular unit? Is there a ROM
upgrade available to make this system better? If the disk drive does not
work well, can it be fixed or must it be replaced? What about glitchy video
(after putting the system into BASIC mode (Control+Shift+Reset), the "Check
Disk Drive." and ] prompts began to shudder violently up and down. It
looked like when you turn either the vertical or horizontal too far... you
get that weird image roll effect or whatever. But neither control would
stop it. Is my $5 IIc monitor going out on me or something?
