I added an extra serial port to my 486 about two months ago. Now my
IIgs is constantly connected through a null-modem to my 486.

I did this so that it would be easier to null-modem files, that I had
downloaded with my 486, to my IIgs.

I have now written a program for my 486 that reroutes the data from my
IIgs to the modem connected to another serial port on the 486 and vice
versa. This allows my 486 and IIgs to share the modem (one at a time,
mind you) so that my IIgs can still do direct calls to BBS' or Genie
and I can also use Marinetti to connect to my ISP (at least, up until
they disabled the SLIP access last month).

I'm going to add printer rerouting to my program as well so that I can
share the 24 pin printer connected to my 486. I'll still use my
ImageWriter II on the IIgs but when I want higher quality I can use
the 24 pin (or maybe even my sister's bubblejet which my 486 can
access over our home network).
