Not all 68K support is ending. Just the machines that do not have 
hardware support for 32-bit addressing. Everything below the LCIII will 
get the ax. All 32-bit capable 68030's and 68040's are still eligible 
for all MacOS upgrades. But for those who don't meet the criteria, 
System 7.5.5 is the last upgrade. Besides, last time I checked, most of 
the software out there requires only System 7, and anything above that 
just means you get a few extra system toys and a bit less memory. And if 
you want that "Copland" feel, just put Aaron in your extensions folder
