: Yes, I have. The old 20 meg drive died so a technically minded fried of
: mine put in a used 80 meg Mac drive instead. It works wonderfully - and is
: less noisy. The only problem is that because of the way Prodos 8 allocates
: slots and drives, and because there are 3 partitions on the hard drive
: now, the 3,5" external drive on my //c becomes invisible if I start up
: from the Chinook. So now I have to start from a floppy. There sure must be
: some software way of fixing this, but I have not investigated the problem
: since it doesnt bother me much. (Perhaps someone out there can tell me
: how to fix it?)
What ProDOS version ya using? With 2.0.3, my //e can use the Chinook and two
unidisks connected to the unidisk card. The hard disk and first unidisk are
in slot 7 and the second unidisk is in slot 4. On a //c, I'd expect the first
two devices to be in slot 5 and the other two in slot 2. ProDOS 1.2 and up can
do the reassignment for intelligent devices in slot 5, and 2.0 and up can do
any slot, which makes it work for my card in slot 7.
