Re: Getting FUD "into" a DOS Master Volume
Actually, you don't need Ciderpress for this transfer method. What you need
is a serial card in your Apple II attached to your PC or Mac and a program
called ADT. I believe there is a Mac version too but I've never used it.
This will allow you to transfer disk images from your PC into your Apple II.
If you don't have a serial card it is worth it so that you can transfer disk
images onto your Apple II. Usually you transfer to/from a diskette but you
can actually transfer to/from a dos master volume if they are 140K in size.
Cider press is a great program from working with images but you can't get
inside the dos master area anyways. I'm surprised it hasn't been ported for
Mac yet. I consider it a must have program and one of the best disk utility
programs available.
