If there is no TTL chip you can use MML instead - Mickey Mouse Logic.
In this case just any small signal NPN transistor like 2n2222  or BC107 or 
whatever.
E to the ground
B via a 1 K resistor to the INPUT of the failed gate
K to the otput of the failed gate.

And cut the 2 pins on the LS06.
