But you have to figure out where the sluggishness comes from. If it's a
massive file that has to be transferred from the printer, then some faster
interface would help. Or like Don Lancaster pointed out, one of those
laser printers with the built in hard drive would be useful, keep the
manuals stored on the printer, ready to print as needed.
But if it's that the printer takes forever to process the postscript, then
a faster printer, maybe more RAM (my HP 4P doesn't do postscript, but I
have osmething like 8megs of RAM in there now and there's still space for
more, even though it's been fine for a decade with what ram is in there).
