Yes Pim, you're right. I was only thinking of the P8 limitations. I
spend most of my time in Prodos 8 and until this year, I had been
away from GS/OS for quite a while.

As for compatibility, I'm looking for exact compatibility at the
start of the project. This would be a stepping stone system to allow
for future growth. Yes, inevitably the system would diverge so far
from the original that it might be better off to just change to a new
system.

With many of the proposed upgrades, the system will diverge anyway.
No matter what we do for a newer GS, it would have to be doubled to
allow for the original GS users to be able to enjoy it.

This seems to be a catch-22.
