Why Apple II?

I'm curious to know why people here are still using Apple II computers,
particularily the 8-bit machines?
Can someone give me just a couple of reasons.  I know that it can't be
money, since older 386's sell as paperweights.  Not performance nor
popularity.  Is it then just for sentimental reasons? :-/
