   That was my understanding as well, but apparently looking through some
old InCider magazines, Applied Engineering's ColorLink option did indeed
support analog RGB. As well, several months ago someone here claimed Video-7 
made a version of their adapter that allowed the Apple IIc to use analog RGB.
(It was someone from the Nova Scotia Apple Users Group in Canada, I think).

   The Apple III RGB port is for digital output only, although I was
able to connect up my AppleColor RGB (using the GS cable connector)
and it worked! The color information was wrong and it may have caused
some damage to the screen, but it still worked nontheless. :) The text
and color was quite sharp and stable actually.
