Franklin ACE serial/parallel card info

Well, in my quest to get apple hardware again I've managed to get
a couple systems, but I still can't connect them to anything else (no
super serial card, etc). I just got an old Franklin ACE 1200 that's
got a serial/parallel card in it though, but I have no idea how to set
it up. The only identification that it's got is a sticker on the back
that says: "IO-04256" (serial number I suppose...) It's got a 16 pin
'rainbow' connector for parallel and a 20 pin dual inline (whatever
it's called, looks just like a disk ][ connector) for serial. It's
also got three sets of switches:

one has 7 switches and is labeled "slot #", (which I assume means
which slot the card (which part?) should 'appear' to be in?)

There's another 7 dip switch set in the middle with no markings
and an 8 dip switch package (with no markings) right below the serial
connector.

last but not least there's a jumper to the right of the 8-set
switch.

When I got the card the jumper was set, the card was in slot 0
and every switch was turned off... Does anyone out there have any
documentation on just what these damned switches are for? I can't get
anything out of the serial port and don't have a cable to test the
parallel (it's a 'male' centronics 36 pin connector, ick). I've tried
just about every combination I can think of.

cheers,

steve
