mpd roadrunner hd system, Limerick

Help!  I just installed a harddrive in my //e.  I have a few
questions for anyone familiar with the thing.

1.  No problem getting appleworks and proterm on it, but
    Publish It3 is not booting, suggestions?
    
2.  I like "mousedesk" and, since its new to me, hate "prosel
    lite"... can I get the drive to consider md the startup
    disk?
    
3.  How come when I turn the //e on it gets stalled reading
    drive 1 and never shifts to the hd like they say it will?
    
4.  "Mousepaint" also doesn't work if I simply copy it...
    suggestions anyone.
    
Nice little harddrive though, I like it already!
