I *hope* that the image is faulty (If I remember correctly I got
mine from Asimov so we may have the same image) but I can't really
say.

I wonder how many people actually playtested this game before
release because this should have come up.
And to sicklittlemonkey who said:
"With (D)ay it worked fine for me.
But with (N)ight I got ?DIVISION BY ZERO ERROR IN 8010."
I get this exact message with both settings.

I'm not that thrilled - even if it worked correctly.
Joystick input should have been optional, especially for target
coordinates. But this would have required faster (&better) graphics
and this was clearly beyond the author's abilities (or will).
I'm particularly unhappy with the map scale problems which show his
indifference to the subject matter.
I know of course that many of those older strategic or tactic
games use maps and expect the player to type in those coordinates.
In fact several of the "real old games" don't use any form of map
graphics - they only show tables of coordinates for the ship/tank/unit
movements and the player has to move small unit
markers on the supplied printed map.
It's another case of "Man, how far we have come in the last 20-30
years!", I guess ;-)
