Sorry, my description of events was a little lacking.

After I got home from work yesterday, I tried...

No Disk II interface - success.
Disk II Interface in slot #4 - success (but couldn't save).
Disk II Interface in slot #6 - success and saved disk.

So I really have no idea why it halted *twice* at seemingly the same placeearlier in the day. There _was_ a WinXP reboot in between the failures andthe successes - only because I had trouble getting the ADTPro GUI to appear.
