I think you want it set to straight through (as opposed to null modem),
because I think your cable has the null modem capability already.

Mini-din 8, you mean?  Neato.  Now, on the Keyspan config software,
it'll list the two ports it has populated - and it will be important to
match the port names all the way to the connector on the Keyspan
itself.  The user manual indicated it would have a "P1" and "P2" to
distinguish them.  I hope the adapter itself has labeled the
connectors.

I believe your cable is a null-modem cable, then.  I could be wrong,
but if MacADT liked it, I'm reasonably sure it needs to be a
null-modem.

The Keyspan serial assistant should show you the serial port names.
Something like "USA19W21P1" should show up in the Keyspan serial helper
app as well as in the ADTPro serial port list.
