Yes, it predated the IIgs. And it came with patches for all the FP
functions. It was about 5x the speed of the stock Apple II when
running patched Applesoft (standard benchmark waivers apply ;-).
Ironically, the 8MHz Zip Chip (with which it is incompatible ;-) also
produces about a 5x speedup, and does it on all code, not just FP BASIC.
Of course, the big winners were the worst Applesoft offenders, like
SQR, which was horribly implemented.
