yes, this is the dilema now. it used to work before I cooked the PCT
(accidently). I never actually got to making a MSDOS partition on my HD
because I didn't have any docs with my card. At least not until Wayne
Stewart came to the rescue with his .pdf's, but by that time it was too
late.

this idea had occured to me, but if it was created small that would
basically limit it to that size ?, or can it be made bigger later on ?
I was still curious as to whether I could create the partition myself and
copy the MSDOS files across to create a bootable partition. say I want to
make MSDOS 3.3, 4.0 or MSDOS 5.0, or whatever I happen to have on system
floppys.
